Community round-up: Goold Estates strengthens commitment to Black Country causes

Goold Estates has reaffirmed its dedication to supporting local communities across the Black Country, providing financial contributions to charities making a real difference.

In 2024, the company focused its efforts on four key organisations:

Black Country Women’s Aid (BCWA)

A long-standing advocate for survivors of domestic abuse and sexual violence, BCWA operates across Walsall, Wolverhampton, Sandwell, and Dudley.

Goold Estates’ donations have helped fund vital counselling services for vulnerable children and provided emergency supplies for individuals forced to flee unsafe homes.

Black Country Foodbank

Supporting individuals and families in crisis, this charity distributes essential food and toiletry items through a network of centres in Dudley, Sandwell, and Walsall.

Charitable support from Goold Estates has helped keep the central warehouse running and ensured continued access to emergency provisions for local people.

Walsall Community Transport

Walsall Community Transport is one of the UK’s leading community transport operators, offering accessible and affordable transport for the elderly, disabled, and local groups.

Thanks to its not-for-profit model and support from partners like Goold Estates, the organisation continues to provide safe, inclusive transport for those who need it most.

Sandwell Young Carers

This organisation supports children and young people aged 5–18 who care for a dependent family member, helping to reduce the impact of their responsibilities on their health, education, and wellbeing.

Support from Goold Estates has helped fund short breaks, holiday sessions, day trips, and one-to-one guidance, as well as awareness-raising activities for schools and healthcare professionals.
