Goold Estates secures 3,500 sq ft Oldbury office letting to overhead crane specialist

Property investment and development company, Goold Estates, has let two office suites to leading overhead crane and lifting solutions company Konecranes at Black Country House in Oldbury.

Konecranes has taken Suites 1A and 7, totalling c.3,500 sq ft, on a 10-year lease.

The move to Black Country House will provide Konecranes with modern office accommodation that is better suited to supporting its evolving customer service operation. The new location will also enable the company to remain in the area and retain its established workforce, having been based in West Bromwich for more than 30 years.

Only one suite now remains available at Black Country House, with Suite 10 extending to c.1,167 sq ft.

Black Country House has a strong engineering heritage, having originally been the headquarters of Accles & Pollock, which became famous for the Mayfly, the world’s first all-metal aircraft.

The 36,252 sq ft office building was acquired by Goold Estates in 2008 and subsequently refurbished to provide modern, EPC A-rated accommodation. The building benefits from air conditioning, raised access flooring, suspended ceilings with LED lighting, a modern reception area, passenger lifts and CCTV. Externally, there are photovoltaic panels and secure gated car parking.
