New HQ for expanding Goold Estates

Ambitious Midlands-based commercial property developer, Goold Estates, has relocated to a high profile new head office near Birmingham.

The commercial property company has moved to the historic Black Country House, Rounds Green Road, Oldbury from their previous offices in Walsall.

The premises will provide space for the company’s expanding workforce.Goold Estates has undertaken the fit out and refurbishment of the high quality, prestigious office space.

Dominic Goold, director of Goold Estates, said: “Our business continues to grow and we had a requirement to move to new, high quality office accommodation. Goold Estates owns Black Country House and it is an ideal location for expanding our services, so it made sense to invest in our future here in the Midlands.

“Being less than a mile from junction 2 of the M5 motorway gives our business greater accessibility to new markets, both in the West Midlands and further south, and will support us in attracting and retaining talented employees.”

Black Country House was originally the headquarters of Accles and Pollock, famous for building the world’s first all-metal aircraft, the Mayfly. The company moved to the site in 1902, from where it grew to become one of Britain’s foremost tubing manufacturers.

Goold Estates acquired Black Country House in 2011, transforming the building through a multi-million-pound refurbishment project, including a new façade and high-quality reception area. Occupiers include national audit, tax and advisory firm Pinnacle Crowe and Otis Lifts.

Goold Estates recently completed the speculative development of Steelpark in Wednesfield, delivering 70,000 sq ft of industrial/warehouse units. The company has also recently acquired several multi-let industrial estates in the West Midlands region. Including Redmill Trading Estate and the £2.4 million acquisition of Beecham Business Park, a 6.5-acre site in Aldridge with more 105,000 sq ft of industrial and office space.

Goold also purchased Redmill Trading Estate site in Wednesbury for £1.79 million from Tayto Group in 2015. The 130,000 sq ft site was acquired as a completely vacant site but was refurbished and fully let in less than a year. Occupiers include Screwifx and Combat Heating Solutions.
