Goold Estates invests in new appointments at refurbished HQ

Property investment and development company, Goold Estates, has completed the refurbishment of its expanded headquarters and made four new appointments to its growing team.

The Oldbury-based firm now occupies 3,000 sq ft of modern office accommodation at Black Country House on Rounds Green Road.

Designed by Tournay Design, with furniture from The Senator Group and Tamarisk Designs, the additional space will support Goold Estates’ delivery of several forthcoming commercial property developments in the West Midlands, including the £22 million Bilston Urban Village employment site.

It will also accommodate the arrival of four new employees, headed by financial controller Satnam Marway. Formerly of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Satnam has worked across several companies in industry, including BNP Paribas and NHS Property Services. He will be responsible for all financial and banking matters at Goold Estates.

Hayley Whitehouse, Denise Pitt and Alison Knight have also joined the company’s finance  department as assistant accountants.

Goold Estates continues to invest in the wider refurbishment of the c.36,000 sq ft Black Country House, which it acquired more than 15 years ago.

Since then, the building has benefited from a £2 million transformation with a new façade, an insulated pitched roof, passenger lifts, double-glazed windows, revamped reception area and a newly resurfaced car park. It is now fully let.

Goold Estates has recently installed photovoltaic roof panels on the building, with a 66 kWp system specially designed to lower energy consumption and reduce carbon footprint. Works are continuing on the installation of new signage and landscaping to external common parts.

Dominic Goold, managing director of Goold Estates, said: “We are very pleased to have completed the refurbishment of our head office at Black Country House. The larger and upgraded facilities provide a platform for us to realise our ambitious future growth plans and prepare for the commencement of exciting new development projects.

“Our success has and will continue to be underpinned by an investment in talented people and we welcome Satnam, Hayley, Denise and Alison to our established team. Their appointments greatly strengthen our capabilities and we look forward to supporting them as they develop their careers with us.”
